Another Groovy Blogger with Hyperhidrosis

Check out Windy's World, a very engaging blog by an artist/elementary school teacher. She wrote this summer about her hyperhidrosis. She tried antihydral, a cream that can be applied on her hands and feet. "After a few days of using the product, I've discovered that it works fairly well," she wrote.

I also enjoyed looking at the paintings on Windy's site and reading about her adventures as a teacher.

Maybe I'll give the cream a try. Has anyone else tried it?

Hi Tiara (and everyone else)-
Thanks for the message and for quoting my blog- I just wanted to say that I've been using antihydral for a couple of months now and it has reduced the sweating on my hands and feet significantly. The weird thing is that it still FEELS like their sweating (if that makes sense)- I still have that hot tingly sensation when they would be sweating, but when I check them, they're pretty dry for the most part. There are a couple of side effects though. If you check the link to my blog, it shows a picture of my hand after I've gotten it wet in the shower. Once you get your hands and feet wet, they get very wrinkled up. That will pass after 15 minutes or so, and then they are just very dry. I carry lotion around in my purse and usually have to apply it every 3 or 4 hours. Other than that, I haven't had any real problems. I've worked out a schedule for myself so that I use the cream 2 days a week, which seems to be enough. When I first got it, I used it every day for at least a week to get it to start working before I switched to my 2-days a week routine. I know a lot of you are probably pretty skeptical... I've tried everything from drysol to electroshock therapy and none of that stuff worked. And I've read posts at several help sites where people describe their hyperhidrosis, and it seems very mild compared to mine. I assure you, I have a very severe case of it, and this stuff is working for me. If you have any questions, feel free to email me: winters07@yahoo.com

I purchased some of that cream right before I finally found someone to botox my hands. Since the botox worked so well, I never really tried out the cream. Now that my doctor won't do the botox treatment anymore, and because I'm taking a break from it while I try to get pregnant, I will definitely try the cream again. It's good to hear feedback that it works. To me, having wrinkly hands is better than leaving puddles :)

That's exactly how I've felt about it :)

Thanks, Windy, for your comments. It's so important for people with HH to share treatment information. I think I could live with wrinkly hands if it works.

I couldn't stand it when I tried Drysol. It gave my hands terrible rashes and made them feel all tingly.

Anyone else have this problem?

Sweaty palms are not cool. I use Certain Dry on my hands to keep them from dripping with perspiration. Yuck!

I have used Ghost Grip, http://www.ghostgrip.com, many times before whenever I am playing cricket or have nervous sweat. It smells 'ok' (like mint) but it works for me with no other problems. I haven't tried the other brands others have posted about so i do not know about those. It is a bother to have sweaty hands all the time as ghost grip works for a few hours but not the whole day.

Does Antihydral work on armpit sweat too?

I think antihydral might work for me. I'm going to give it a try. Found some great info on it on this website.
